Diamond Prince of Red Flag Music seems to have found his 'breakthrough' in the music biz

by Zaky

Popular Sierra Leonean young rapper reppin the Red Flag Music label is respected and regarded in the music and entertainment industry in general as one of, if not the most hardworking young entertainer in the industry of recent.

Diamond's popularity grew with the release of  his motivational hit single 'Degree na Ose'. This song became an anthem amongst struggling Sierra Leonean youths who battle on a daily with the stiffness of a country that is supposed to save them after their academic toils.

Diamond's street credibility grew even more as he collaborated with another fast rising star and serial hit maker, Kaley Bag to create a song that resonates again with the ghetto youths. Diamond Prince ft Kaley Bag 'Na D Kontri dis', as timely as it was, was simply infectious.

Now, this walking lyrics milling machine is poised to bring you a freestyle joint that will definitely leave the entire entertainment community talking. No doubt he is fondly called 'Best Lyricist'. The energy and ingenuity Diamond put on this song is way above normal! Take it from me this freestyle joint hits different and you can call it 'international standard'.

The producers, DJs and bloggers who have had a taste of this joint think it is so on point that Diamond Prince calls it 'The Breakthrough Freestyle'. Because even though this title might sound clichΓ© as Diamond has long had a breakthrough, but it is very much obvious that this classic of a joint might just give him a major breakthrough in his career.

One more thing. He warns other rappers that this is not a friendly joint at all, and that he is ready for anyone that might try to fight back, for his respect in the rap game is only for few.

LOCAL COURTS ARE NOW UNDER THE JUDICIARY -ATTORNEY GENERAL

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Anthony Y. Brewah, has disclosed on the 20th August 2021 that the Judiciary of Sierra Leone will now start the enforcement and implementation of the Local Courts which has been its statutory mandate as provided for the Local Courts Act of 2011.

He said the law has been in existence for the past ten years but the implementation was not enforced.

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice made that disclosure at the Bo District Council, Kakua Chiefdom in administration Bo Town during the ongoing stakeholders engagement to implement the Local Courts Act of 2011.

“Local Courts administration is no longer in the hands of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, not even the District Office but the Judiciary of Sierra Leone,” the Attorney General and Minister of Justice said.

Registering his disappointment over the poor attendance of Paramount Chiefs from Bo District, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice said there is going to be recruitment for all positions and those who are qualified will be shortlisted and recruited to serve in those positions prescribed in the Local Courts Act.

He said a lot of misinformation had been peddled in regard to the status or position of the Local Courts, adding that this one-week tour is to set the record straight by stating the fact as provided for in the Act.

In Kenema, he commended the sacrifices made by all Paramount Chiefs and those stakeholders in the administration of Local Courts. He encouraged them to continue the good work in ensuring the sustainability of peace and security in their Chiefdoms.

In responding to a question asked by the Paramount Chief of Niawa Chiefdom, PC Mariama Jaward Tamia III regarding the appointment of Local Courts officers, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice said he is a lawyer with 30 years standing and the current Principal Legal Adviser to the Government. He said the implementation or enforcement of the Local Courts administration

will not go contrary to the very Act which created it.

In his presentation, the Team Leader Hon. Justice Aiah Simeon Allieu said the 1963 Act was repealed and replaced in tandem with the Sierra Leone Constitution, Act No. 6 of 1991 with specific reference to Section 120 (1) which states that, “Judicial power of Sierra Leone shall be vested in the Judiciary of which the Chief Justice shall be the Head.”

He said the Judiciary has transformed, noting that a lot of reforms are underway and the Local Courts will be well reconstituted in the administration of justice at the local level in adherence with the customs and traditions of the people.

EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE, THE COMMON ENEMY

 EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE, THE COMMON ENEMY

By Augustine Bamie Anthony, Manager, Education radio, MBSSE

The quality of a nation's manpower development (Human Capital Development) is in direct proportion to the quality of its educational system. A country with shaky and porous examination system will have very poor manpower. (Human Capital Development).

The Educational system of a country becomes worthless when the element of malpractice is injected in to the process of assessment. This is because examination and education are largely inseparable.

Examinations are conducted in order to measure competence or achievement in a given field of endeavour.

What malpractice does is to compromise the validity, reliability and integrity of any assessment or evaluation system, to render it meaningless and not worthy of counting upon.

Its calamity is not just the havoc it wrecks on the  educational system, but the gradual introduction of youths into the practice of fraud.

With the passage of time, academic standards will go low and suddenly, lack of confidence in the educational system is what becomes of it.

If you can read and understand this piece, you are counted lucky. Therefore, it is now your responsibility to join hands with the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, to bring back the self-esteem  Mama Salone enjoyed during her days of being nicknamed the Athens of West Africa. Your counterpart who is unable to read and understand this piece  reserves huge respect for you because of the respect and value he/she has for education. That one thing that separates you from him/her must be preserved, protected and maintained at all times and with all levels of seriousness. Education is not cheap, it should not be bought as a mere commodity in the shop or market.

It is our responsibility to let people EARN it and not BUY it. This is what separates us from them.

You can start the process of protection by saying NO to examination malpractice in Sierra Leone.

Let's together put Sierra Leone at the top of the academic league table again.

When asked if audiofrica should be used or forced to be used by Sierra Leoneans and Africans because a Sierra Leonean/African created it, the CEO and founder said this.

When asked if audiofrica should be used or forced to be used by Sierra Leoneans and Africans because a Sierra Leonean/African created it, the CEO and founder said this.

No one will be or should be forced to use audiofrica. audiofrica speaks for itself, and those who see the value will use it.

The only difference between other major platforms and ours is that its African owned, they have or had investors who invested in there platform, we are self funded, and we created audiofrica because years ago when no one cared about African music or African artists, we did and we wanted to give these artists, DJ's, producers etc and there music a place where both( the artist and music) can be welcomed, honored, promoted and earn from there content.

audiofrica is a platform that is 15 years in the making and a cry from artists who wanted something to represent them and there music when no other platforms wanted to, and they asked us to create something and we did, and most of these artists are well known today and are not using it.

So no I do not want anyone being forced or push to use this incredible platform.

We created it for the up and coming because back then African music was up and coming.
